Support for ADHD and neurodivergent job seekers

By Nancy Osazee, Founder. Checked 9 October 2026.

These are the practical pages: a cheat sheet for the interview, emails for adjustments, a note on telling an employer, Access to Work, a tracker, gaps on a CV, the day itself, the first 90 days, and employers with a public scheme.

Print them. Nothing here asks you to create an account. An email box is optional, and the file is on the page either way.

  • ADHD interview cheat sheet

One landscape page: a 30-second about-me, and four or five stories as trigger words.

  • Reasonable adjustments request template

A short email you can send before an interview, asking for practical changes. Questions in advance, extra time, a quiet room, camera off, a break, and written instructions.

  • Should I disclose?

A short decision guide on whether, when, and how to tell an employer. There is no correct box. The flowchart is a way to choose, not a rule.

  • Access to Work, step by step

Access to Work is a Department for Work and Pensions scheme. It can help pay for practical support at work if you have a disability or a health condition. It is not the same as a reasonable adjustment, and it does not replace your employer's legal duty.

  • ADHD-friendly job search tracker

One page for a week of job search. A small target each day, three next actions, and a row of boxes for the streak. The point is a short list you can finish, not a second job.

  • CV gaps and job-hopping wording

Honest lines you can adapt for a gap or a short role. They do not invent a job you did not do. They give the fact, then the work you can do now.

  • Interview day checklist

A night-before list, a small kit for noise and light, a travel buffer, and a two-minute routine for when your heart is loud. Nothing here is a treatment.

  • First 90 days in a new job

A simple shape for the first three months: a routine you can repeat, a way to notice energy before you are flat, and a script for asking your manager for support.

  • ND-friendly UK employers

A short list, on purpose. Each employer is here because a public page says they run a neurodiversity or autism hiring programme, or because GOV.UK has named them as a Disability Confident Leader. A logo on a job advert is not enough.

Questions

Do I need a diagnosis to use these?

No. The pages are practical notes. They are not a diagnosis and not medical advice.

Who wrote them?

Nancy Osazee, Founder of CareerPilot.

Where is the longer interview explanation?

In the guide linked from the cheat sheet page. It opens in a new tab from that page.
