Terms of Service

Welcome to CareerPilot (“we”, “us”, “our”). By accessing or using our website, tools, or services (“Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding contract to use CareerPilot.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate and truthful information at all times.

We collect information necessary to provide AI‑driven career support, including: Contact details, Employment history, Skills and qualifications, Uploaded documents (CVs, cover letters), and Usage data.

Your data is used to analyse your CV, generate AI recommendations, and provide job-search insights. We do not sell your personal data to advertisers or recruitment agencies without your explicit consent.

We use industry‑standard security measures, including AES‑256 encryption. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute protection.

You retain ownership of all documents you upload. By uploading, you grant us a licence to process and store it for the purpose of providing the Service.

You acknowledge that AI output may contain errors. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all generated content. AI output does not constitute professional or legal advice.

You agree not to upload harmful content, reverse-engineer the Service, or misrepresent your identity. We may terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

All platform features and branding are owned by CareerPilot. You may not copy or modify any part of the Service without permission.

If you purchase a paid plan, you agree to the pricing and billing cycle displayed at checkout. We may update pricing with notice.

The CareerPilot Ambassador Programme lets you invite others using your unique referral link. A referral is only credited once the invited person meaningfully engages with the Service (for example, setting a target role, tracking an application, or saving a job) — not on sign-up alone. We may change reward tiers, the qualification criteria, or withdraw the programme at any time, and reserve the right to withhold rewards where we reasonably suspect abuse (for example, self-referral or fake accounts).

Some learning resources, courses, or materials recommended through Skill Assessment or elsewhere in the Service may be sponsored, or may link to third-party providers via an affiliate arrangement, meaning CareerPilot may earn a commission if you purchase or sign up through that link. Sponsored resources are clearly labelled as such. We only recommend resources we believe are genuinely relevant to your stated skill gap or goal, but we do not guarantee the quality, availability, or outcome of any third-party course or resource, and any purchase you make is a contract between you and that third party, not CareerPilot.

CareerPilot is not liable for hiring outcomes or job offers. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the last 12 months.

We may suspend or terminate your access for violating these Terms. You may delete your account at any time.

We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be resolved exclusively in the courts of England and Wales.
