ND-friendly UK employers

By Nancy Osazee, Founder

A short list, on purpose. Each employer is here because a public page says they run a neurodiversity or autism hiring programme, or because GOV.UK has named them as a Disability Confident Leader. A logo on a job advert is not enough.

Last checked 9 October 2026. Programmes change. Open the source before you apply. If you know another employer with a public page we can cite, email admin@mycareerpilot.co.uk.

How to read this list

Disability Confident Leader means the employer has reached level 3 of a voluntary government scheme. It does not mean every team is easy to work in. A specialist autism employer is a different kind of entry: read their own rules, including anything they say about diagnosis.

Verified entries

auticon United Kingdom

Hires autistic people as technology consultants, with neuroinclusion coaches and a low-stress interview. The careers page says evidence of an autism diagnosis is required to work as a consultant, but not at the point of application. Operations roles are open more widely.

The Gym Group

Named by the Department for Work and Pensions, in a GOV.UK news story on 15 January 2026, as a Disability Confident Leader. That is level 3 of the government scheme. It is not, by itself, a neurodiversity hiring programme.

Questions

Why are there so few names?

Because each one needs a public source we can link. A longer list of guesses would be less useful.

Does Disability Confident Leader mean the job is neurodiversity-friendly?

It means the employer has the level 3 status in the government scheme. Read the team and the role as well. It is not a guarantee about your manager.
