Jobs with visa sponsorship in the UK
By Nancy Osazee, Founder. Checked 10 October 2026.
These notes are for people who need an employer to sponsor a Skilled Worker visa. They follow the Immigration Rules and the public sponsor register. They are not a decision on your application.
When you want live vacancies, the jobs page lists adverts that offer sponsorship and employers we have matched to the register. Each card says which signal matched.
How to use this set
- Read the visa in plain English. See what the employer has to be, and what you still have to apply for.
- Check the pay. Look up the going rate, then use the checker. Do not invent the occupation rate.
- Check the register. Download the current workers file from GOV.UK and search the legal name.
- Only then write the CV. Tailor it to a real advert, and keep the scam checklist beside any unsolicited offer.
Skilled Worker visa, in plain English
A Skilled Worker visa is permission to work in a specific job for a licensed sponsor. The employer has to be on the register, and they give you a Certificate of Sponsorship for that job. You then apply.
Salary thresholds and the going-rate checker
For a standard Skilled Worker application, Appendix Skilled Worker option A says the salary must reach both £41,700 a year and the going rate for the occupation code. You need the higher of the two, not one of them.
How to check an employer is on the sponsor register
The register of licensed sponsors is a spreadsheet the Home Office publishes. An employer can recruit a Skilled Worker only if their legal name is on it for that route.
Certificate of Sponsorship timeline
The Certificate of Sponsorship is a reference the sponsor assigns in the sponsorship system. You use that reference in your visa application. You do not apply for the visa and hope the certificate appears later.
CV and cover letter for sponsored roles
A sponsor has to show the job is genuine and that you can do it. Your CV is for that hiring decision. It is not the visa form.
Sponsorship scam warning
A real sponsor does not need you to pay them for the job. They do not need your passport in the post. They do not message you from a free email account with a certificate attached as a Word file.
On CareerPilot
Live roles where a sentence in the advert offers sponsorship. A refusal in the advert is left off, even for a licensed sponsor.
Questions
Does CareerPilot grant visas?
No. The Home Office decides. These pages explain the public rules and point at the jobs we list.
Which salary figure should I trust?
Appendix Skilled Worker, read on the date printed on the salary page. A job advert is not the going rate.
Where are the jobs?
On the visa sponsorship jobs page. Healthcare roles that also match a clinical term have their own page.
