SOUTH SHIELDS VETS FOR PETS VETERINARY SURGEON:  up to £70,000 DOE FTE Vets for Pets at the Nook in South Shields is an 18 year old well-established, small animal practice. Kirstin, Tammie and Kay are the practice owners and are excited to welcome a new experienced vet to join their friendly, supportive and experienced team. As partners, we are looking to build on our already inclusive, loyal and family-feel ethos by placing more emphasis on mental health and well-being for the whole team.  We share a firm belief that investing in your team creates value and purpose leading to a positive environment where individuals feel empowered. WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? Someone with ideally 2 years + experience Confident with routine surgeries and sole charge (Saturdays only) We are looking for part time ideally up to 31 hours per week, although we are happy to discuss flexibility around this. Confident in providing excellent client care. WHAT WE CAN OFFER Competitive salary A supportive, experienced team 5.6 weeks holiday which will extend to 6.6 weeks after 2 years’ service. (This will be pro rata for PT) An additional day off for your birthday after 1 years’ service. Regular clinical meetings to discuss protocols, new products and cases. Full team meetings to ensure effective communication throughout. A vet Whats App group to ensure someone is always contactable. Team activities outside of work No OOH, 1 in 4 Saturday rota. A proactive approach to CPD supporting a wide range of individual interests. RCVS accredited and silver ISFM accreditation. A well-managed diary ensuring there is administration time and breaks. ABOUT THE PRACTICE Purpose built practice with 2 theatres. Varied case load. Short distance from the coast and some beautiful beaches.
