Responsibilities:
1) Treasury: Develop and deliver operational plans for a unit or division in
line with the overall treasury strategy.
2) Organizational Risk Management: Manage a significant portion of the
organization's risk management and/or risk control processes. This includes
contributing to the development and implementation of risk management policies
and procedures.
3) Financial Policies, Guidelines, and Protocols: Create a plan to deliver and
review financial policies, guidelines, and protocols to ensure the company
complies with regulations and good financial practice.
4) Information and Business Advice: Provide authoritative specialist advice to
senior managers at the business unit or regional level to enable the
implementation of policy, projects, and change initiatives.
5) Leadership and Direction: Communicate the actions needed to implement the
function's strategy and business plan within the team; explain the relationship
to the broader organization's mission, vision, and values; motivate people to
commit to these and to do extraordinary things to achieve local business goals.
6) Performance Management: Manage and report on the performance of a
substantial, diverse team; set appropriate performance objectives for direct
reports or project/account team members and hold individuals accountable for
achieving them; take appropriate corrective action where necessary to ensure the
achievement of team/personal objectives.
7) Budgeting: Develop and/or deliver budget plans with guidance from senior
colleagues.
8) Operational Compliance: Monitor and review performance and behaviors within
area of responsibility to identify and resolve noncompliance with the
organization's policies and relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct.
9) Organizational Capability Building: Use the organization's formal development
framework to identify the team's individual development needs. Plan and
implement actions, including continuing professional development specified by
professional or regulatory institutions, to build their professional
capabilities. Provide informal training or coaching to others throughout the
organization in own area of expertise to enable others to improve performance
and fulfill personal potential.
Educational Requirements: Master's Degree or Equivalent Level
General Experience Requirement: Wide and deep experience providing expert
competence (Over 10 years to 15 years)
Managerial Experience Requirement: Experience of planning, managing and
organizing resources within short / medium timescales within the overall policy
framework. (Over 6 years to 10 years)
