About the Role
Hult introduced developmental coaching for undergraduate students in 2022 as a
complement to our experientially driven curriculum. We engage authentically with
students within the context of their Hult experience to co-create Personal
Development Plans, cultivate the skills and mindsets that support their success,
and help them set and achieve meaningful goals.
Emerging adulthood is a crucial and often underappreciated developmental stage.
Students are discovering who they are while navigating new environments,
relationships, and responsibilities, often amid considerable change and
uncertainty. Coaching at Hult gives them a developmental partner during this
formative stage, within an institution designed to support them, so they can
learn to navigate and guide their own growth at Hult and beyond.
The Person
Are you passionate about working with international students to support them in
their education? Are you skilled at coaching young adults to navigate and
succeed in university life? Do you have a calling to help young adults identify
who they are and who they want to become as independent adults and
professionals?
While every coach brings their own style, strengths, and personality, our
coaches share a common set of principles that reflect our commitment to ethical,
empowering, and student-centred practice.
The Opportunity
The Student Development Coach supports undergraduate students throughout their
program and is a key point of contact dedicated to helping them maximize their
learning and development at Hult. The coach engages students in owning their
personal and professional development, while also helping them understand the
program, adjust to student life, adapt to a new country and culture, and work
through interpersonal challenges that may arise.
You would actively coach our undergraduate students, starting with the
first-year credited coaching program and continuing through additional sessions
that students book themselves to support their ongoing development. You would
help students understand their identity, values, and strengths and use them to
set meaningful goals. Using frameworks and tools, you would support students in
taking ownership of their development with clear intentions and accountability,
while building their communication, self-awareness, and collaboration skills.
You would also maintain thorough records of coaching sessions, deliver Team
Coaching, and run occasional workshops as part of both the academic curriculum
and extracurricular activities. Coaching at Hult has clear ethical commitments
and boundaries, and you would work alongside the wider network of campus support
and resources.
