Job Description
Ready to lead projects that shape the places where EDF people work and collaborate? Looking for the freedom to manage projects (some of which are complex), influence outcomes, and deliver meaningful improvements across a national property portfolio? At EDF, Success is Personal – and this is your opportunity to make a lasting impact.
The Opportunity
As a Project Manager, you'll lead the delivery of a wide range of repair, maintenance, refurbishment, and fit-out projects across EDF's corporate (office) estate. You'll play a key role in delivering safe, compliant, high-quality environments that support colleagues across the business and our journey towards An Electric Britain.
This national hybrid role offers flexible home and office working as we aim for a positive work-life balance. You can be based anywhere in the UK, with travel to project locations across the UK and Ireland as required to meet project demands.
You'll manage projects from inception through to completion, working with internal teams, stakeholders, contractors, and consultants. With significant autonomy, you'll influence delivery strategy, drive continuous improvement, and help ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within scope and budget.
Who You Are
We're looking for a Project Manager who combines strong technical project delivery expertise with excellent stakeholder engagement skills. You'll be comfortable managing competing priorities, solving complex challenges, and leading multidisciplinary teams. To be shortlisted, you need to offer:
Project management experience, with ability to lead multidisciplinary teams of project professionals
Experience delivering construction and facilities-related projects in a comparable, multi-stakeholder environment
Strong understanding of project management methodologies, procurement routes, and contract management
Highly developed stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills
Demonstrated ability to manage complex problems requiring evaluation, judgement, and the balancing of competing priorities
Commercially astute with strong numeracy and cost-control capability
Ability to work autonomously across a wide geographic area throughout the UK, including regular site attendance
Self-motivated and resilient, with the ability to manage competing priorities
Organisational skills in planning and programming of projects, to ensure delivery that is safe, on time, within scope, and within budget
Ability to ensure statutory, regulatory, and EDF requirements are understood and complied with to maintain safety and quality
What You’ll Be Doing
Leading the end-to-end delivery of refurbishment, maintenance, repair, and fit-out projects across EDF’s property portfolio
Managing project budgets, schedules, risks, governance requirements, and stakeholder expectations
Coordinating internal specialists, contractors, consultants, and suppliers to achieve successful project outcomes
Maintaining compliance with statutory, regulatory, safety, quality, and environmental requirements
Identifying opportunities for innovation, continuous improvement, and value for money across project delivery
Pay, Benefits and Culture
Alongside a competitive salary and potential for an annual bonus, and a market-leading pension scheme, your package will include customisable benefits such as electric vehicle leasing, discounted gym membership, life assurance, tech vouchers, experience days, and more.
