Job Description Summary and purpose of the Job: Opportunities for IT Security Consultants at the CHECK Team Leader level are available within the Penetration Testing team at Wavenet CyberGuard, one of the largest groups of cyber security professionals within the UK. We are seeking applications from experienced and technically proficient individuals with demonstrable experience of leading and delivering engagements. You will have a keen interest and enthusiasm for penetration testing and IT security, and can demonstrate a strong passion and determination to excel in what is a fast paced and dynamic environment. Working on a mix of Government engagements under the auspices of the CHECK scheme and also private and commercial clients you will look to take the lead on these projects and ensure that the client deliverables are of the standard that reflects both your ability and the reputation of the technical testing team. This is a home based role, however there will be travel to, and work from client and Wavenet locations as and when required. These visits may involve overnight hotel stays. Qualifications The following skills should be considered prior to your application: Currently certified and accredited as a CHECK Team Leader in either the Infrastructure or Web Application disciplines and have a minimum of two years currency at this level. Hold UK Cyber Security Council (UKCSC) accreditation of Principal Cyber Security Professional (PriCSP) or higher. Prior history and demonstrable experience in the delivery and reporting of a variety of IT security engagements. A strong knowledge of penetration testing frameworks and methodologies. Mentor and develop junior members of the technical testing team where appropriate. Provide support to the Account Management team through client pre-engagement activities, such as scoping and client calls. Undertake quality assurance (QA) activities on other consultants reports prior to their delivery to the client. Strong client facing skills with the ability to present and discuss across technical teams to C-Suite. A team player, capable of interacting with all colleagues. A good grasp of English language and grammar. The ability to produce detailed reports that outline identified vulnerabilities and provide sensible recommendation for remediation. Personal time management and organisation with the ability to meet tight turnaround times and deadlines. Existing UK Security Check (SC) clearance as a minimum. Desirable: Experience of scripting and coding languages. Certifications such as Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) and/or experience with online cyber security training platforms.
