The Role
As a Coordinating Authorised Person, you will cover a number of QinetiQ/MOD
sites across a regional area to help assist the Senior Authorised Person, site
Authorised Persons and Estates Delivery teams for JSP safe systems of work
delivery, compliance and assurance. You will also would also provide dedicated
technical support and guidance to the existing site based Authorised Persons as
mentor and SME for various JSP375 Ch 5 disciplines.
Day-to-day, you will embed operational Safe System of Work improvement
programmes, identify best practise across Operations and work with teams to
ensure a consistency in our delivery approach.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Oversee and provide guidance and assistance to site Authorised Persons in
planning activities in relation to the specialist discipline and area
• Co-ordinate statutory compliance for JSP 375 SSoW delivery across the
regional sites by regular contact with sites Authorised Persons
• Monitor & review performance, tracking trends, escalating any issues,
concerns, or obstacles to the Senior Authorised Person with respect to JSP
compliance
• Ensure robust application of health, safety & environmental regulations,
procedures & processes to AP work activities
• Ensure work is prioritised appropriately, and issues raised to site Estates
Delivery teams to ensure asset safety and compliance is maintained
Essential experience of the Coordinating Authorised Person:
• Demonstrable experience in a similar role
• Previous AP experience working in a regulated industries
• Proven track record in Health & Safety and compliance
Essential qualifications for the Coordinating Authorised Person:
• Current AP Certificate in either one or more JSP disciplines. Eg Hazardous
Areas, Mechanical Systems, Confined Spaces, Petroleum, HV / LV Electrical
• IOSH / NEBOSH Qualification
• Full clean driving licence

This role is 37 hours per week based at our one of our Pendine, Aberporth and
Malvern. Travel to other QinetiQ and customer sites will be expected.
