Pay Rate: £13.50 per hour Postcode: RH13 6DJ Monday to Friday – 10:00am to 2:00pm 20 hours per week Possible Temp-to-Perm Opportunity We are recruiting for a School Catering Assistant to work within a busy primary school in Horsham. This is a daytime, Monday-to-Friday position supporting the school kitchen team with the preparation and service of meals to pupils and staff. There is a possible opportunity for the position to become permanent for the right candidate. Duties Assisting with the preparation of school meals Serving meals to pupils and staff Setting up dining and service areas Supporting the kitchen team during lunch service Washing up and cleaning kitchen equipment Cleaning work surfaces, kitchen and dining areas Following food hygiene and allergen procedures Maintaining a clean and safe working environment Requirements Food Safety Level 2 certificate – essential Allergen Awareness certificate – essential Enhanced DBS required Previous catering, kitchen or school-meals experience preferred Good understanding of food hygiene standards Reliable and punctual Comfortable working within a school environment Able to work Monday to Friday Benefits Monday: 10:00am – 2:00pm Tuesday: 10:00am – 2:00pm Wednesday: 10:00am – 2:00pm Thursday: 10:00am – 2:00pm Friday: 10:00am – 2:00pm Total: 20 hours per week Pay £13.50 per hour Temporary position with a possible temp-to-perm opportunity for the right candidate.
