Domestic Assistant at Harewood Park, Cheadle, Staffordshire, ST10 2EE £12.71 per hour | Permanent | 14 - 27 hours per week Take pride in making somewhere feel like home? We’re looking for a Domestic Assistant to join our team at Harewood Park in Cheadle. This is much more than simply keeping things clean. You’ll play an important part in creating a safe, comfortable and welcoming home for the people we support, while maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and hygiene you'd expect within a care environment. Your shifts This is a permanent, part-time role working 2 - 3 shifts per week on a rolling rota: • Weekdays: 8am - 3pm or 11am - 6pm * 1 weekend in every 4: 8am - 6pm, Saturday and Sunday • Approximately 14 - 27 hours per week * £12.71 per hour What will you be doing? You’ll be responsible for maintaining high standards throughout the home, including residents’ bedrooms and bathrooms, communal areas and other shared spaces, alongside laundry duties, deep cleaning and maintaining organised storage areas. You'll also work in line with infection control, COSHH and health & safety procedures, while always being mindful that you’re working within residents’ home and respecting their privacy, dignity and personal belongings. What are we looking for? Ideally, you’ll already have experience in a domestic, housekeeping or cleaning role within a care home, healthcare or similar environment. However, experience isn't everything. We’re also happy to consider someone without direct experience who can demonstrate the right attitude, a strong work ethic and an understanding that working as a Domestic Assistant in a care environment is more than simply a cleaning job. You'll need to be reliable, conscientious, respectful and comfortable working both independently and as part of a wider team. Full training will be provided. Why join My Choice Healthcare?
