This role requires a unique blend of technical knowledge, strategic thinking, and collaborative skills to ensure operational excellence and maximize efficiency across multiple product lines and service offerings. The Master Planner acts as the individual-contributor integrator for R&M planning across the Geozone, connecting the rolling 3–12-month demand outlook to the executable 90-day business plan. The role provides functional direction through dotted-line relationships with Geozone Planners and the Master Scheduler, without direct people-management accountability. Responsibilities: • Develop and maintain master schedules for all operational activities within the assigned Geozone, ensuring optimal resource utilization and service delivery. • Coordinate cross-functional planning activities between operations, maintenance, logistics, and support functions. • Analyze historical data and forecast future demand to optimize workforce planning, equipment utilization, and inventory management. • Implement and maintain planning systems and processes that align with Weatherford's global standards while addressing local operational requirements. • Collaborate with sales teams to ensure operational capacity aligns with commercial opportunities and client commitments. • Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts, resource constraints, and operational bottlenecks. • Develop KPIs and metrics to measure planning effectiveness and drive continuous improvement. • Provide regular reporting on operational performance, resource utilization, and planning efficiency. • Support emergency response planning and ensure business continuity during operational disruptions. • Liaise with global planning teams to ensure alignment with corporate objectives and best practices. • Lead the monthly Geozone S&OP demand and supply review, aligning Product Line, Operations, Finance, R&M, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Asset Management. • Consolidate budget, HFM, operational requirements, asset plans, project plans and repair forecasts into one rolling 3–12-month demand outlook by product line and asset family. • Own and maintain the integrated 90-day business plan, including forecast, pre-job and released work-order demand. • Balance labor, equipment, tooling and material constraints through rough-cut or finite-capacity planning and what-if analysis. • Govern the Day-0 work-order readiness gate covering materials, capacity, tooling, routing, BOM/SBOM, master data and cost readiness. • Drive future material readiness beyond 90 days and ensure major projects and repair programs have an identified MTS, MTO, redeployment or sourcing strategy. • Review MTS service health, including fill rate, stockouts, at-risk inventory and stock below shelf target; recommend MTS, ROP, safety-stock or stocking-policy changes through global governance. • Coordinate with MRP Planners on DRP exception health, OQ-to-OR-to-PO conversion, supplier commitments, late-PO exposure, redeployment and shortage recovery. • Drive Geozone inventory optimization, including inventory value, turns, consumption discipline, non-moving inventory, E&O and redeployment. • Provide functional priorities and operating-model guidance to Geozone Planners and the Master Scheduler through dotted-line relationships; the position has no direct reports. • Ensure clear handovers across long-term demand planning, material/MRP planning, master scheduling and shop execution while preserving each role’s defined accountability. • Identify master-data improvements for lead times, MOQ, sourcing rules, routing, standard hours, BOM/SBOM and inventory parameters. • Support implementation and adoption of advanced or finite-capacity planning tools and standardized digital dashboards. Qualifications & Experience Required • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or related field. • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in planning, scheduling, or operations management roles within the oil and gas industry. • Demonstrated experience with planning and resource management systems (SAP, Maximo, or similar ERP systems). • Strong understanding of North Sea operations and the specific challenges of the UKCS environment. • Experience with lean methodologies and continuous improvement processes. • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and translate them into actionable insights. • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across organizational boundaries. • Proven ability to work effectively in a matrix organization and manage multiple priorities. • Experience leading S&OP or integrated planning and converting demand into material, capacity and execution plans. • Working knowledge of ERP/MRP processes, including JDE or equivalent, forecasting, work orders, DRP/MRP messages and inventory parameters. • Ability to provide functional leadership through dotted-line relationships without direct reporting authority. • Experience with MTS/MTO policy, ROP, material readiness, inventory optimization and capacity scenario planning. • Advanced Excel and business-intelligence capability for scenario analysis, KPI reporting and decision support. • Travel required up to 30% across the Geozone. Qualifications & Experience Preferred: • Master's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field. • Professional certification in project management (PMP, PRINCE2) or supply chain management (CSCP, CPIM). • Experience with advanced planning and scheduling software. • Knowledge of offshore logistics and personnel movement planning. • Understanding of HSE requirements in the oil and gas industry. • Experience working with integrated service contracts and performance-based models. • Experience with finite-capacity or advanced-planning tools such as Kinaxis, o9 or CyberPlan. • Experience establishing planning gates, role handovers, standard cadences and cross-functional escalation paths.
