What will I be doing?
You'll own and evolve the technical systems that power P&T Business Operations — Jira architectures, data pipelines, dashboards, and integrations with enterprise platforms. You identify where operational capability could be stronger, scope those opportunities, and design and build solutions in collaboration with the Business Operations Manager. You approach problems with an AI-first mindset and make technical decisions with clarity about trade-offs.
Own and evolve the standardisation of Jira and other Kaluza data systems. Configure, extend, and redesign them to support increasingly complex business operations.
Build and maintain reliable data pipelines and dashboards that turn raw operations data into clear signals for decision-making. Explore where AI agents and autonomous systems can streamline operations.
Identify opportunities for new capabilities (better delivery planning data & tooling capabilities, improved management insights solutions, plugging into adjacent Kaluza products) and design and build solutions, aligned with the direction from the business operations manager who will lead the product & delivery enablement side of things
Connect and integrate internal products and platforms — Workday integrations, locally-built internal tools, and other solutions. Make recommendations on what to build, integrate, or take over — clearly articulating trade-offs, impact, and delivery path.
Anticipate security, compliance, and regulatory constraints upfront. Navigate Kaluza's systems to unblock delivery quickly.
Spot when something's off — in the data, in a process, or in a tool — and fix it before it becomes someone else's problem.
Iterate on our operational tooling continuously, testing new approaches early and sharing what you learn openly with the team.
About You
Ideally you'll have/be:
3–5 years building and maintaining operational tooling — not just writing code, but owning what you ship.
Strong Jira expertise (including JQL) and Confluence; comfortable configuring them for complex portfolio structures.
Experience with APIs/integrations and data exchange, SQL + basic scripting, BI tools, AI tools and automation.
Experience building data pipelines or automated workflows with practical understanding of keeping them reliable at scale.
Confident in identifying improvements and implementing them independently. You break down ambiguous problems, scope solutions, and drive delivery without constant prompting. You don't wait to be told what's next.
Comfortable with data analysis, ambiguity, and working in scaling organisations where processes and systems need to grow as fast as the people using them.
You navigate Kaluza's systems to move fast. You share progress openly and communicate clearly across technical and non-technical audiences.
What will set you apart:
You're the kind of person who spots a constraint, maps it back to its root cause, and builds a fix (or identifies where a temporary workaround is needed, whilst you work on a fix). You set a high bar for your own work and raise it over time, and you're not satisfied leaving a system in a worse state than you found it.
You work openly by default: you share progress, flag blockers early, and communicate what's working and what isn't without waiting to be asked. People across the organisation find it easy to understand what you're doing and why.
You're genuinely curious about new tools and approaches — especially AI — and you actively bring others along by sharing what you've tried, what landed, and what didn't. Learning in the open comes naturally to you.
