We are seeking two experienced and proactive HR Business Partners. One role will
be the designated HRBP for our Housing Directorate. The second role will work
across the council’s directorates.
These are influential partnering roles that will combine the management of
complex employee relations issues with strategic workforce planning and
organisational redesign. Working closely with senior leaders, you will use
people insight, professional expertise and sound judgement to help services
address immediate workforce challenges whilst planning for future organisational
needs.
Both roles require experienced HR professionals who can quickly establish
credibility, provide confident advice on complex people matters and support
leaders to achieve sustainable service improvement through effective workforce
interventions.
We are therefore looking for candidates who will bring:
• Significant experience managing complex employee relations casework within a
large and complex organisation.
• Up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice.
• Demonstrable experience of influencing and advising senior leaders on
people-related risks and organisational challenges.
• Experience of workforce planning and using workforce intelligence, data and
insight to inform business decisions and people interventions.
• Experience supporting organisational design, restructures, and service change
initiatives.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex information
and translate it into practical solutions and recommendations.
• Excellent relationship-building, coaching and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience of working effectively with Trade Unions and employee
representatives.
• CIPD qualification, equivalent professional qualification or substantial
relevant experience.
Why join us?
This is an opportunity to make a visible impact within a large and ambitious
local authority. Whilst supporting managers with immediate employee relations
challenges, you will also help shape longer-term workforce solutions, influence
organisational design and use people insight to improve service delivery.
You'll join a collaborative HR & OD team where your expertise, ideas and
professional judgement will be valued and where you can make a meaningful
contribution to the future of our workforce and services.
