Trust Payments has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Business Development Manager to join Sales & Customer Excellence team.
Location: Hybrid- Bromley, United Kingdom

How will you make an impact in this role?
Trust Payments is looking for a Senior Business Development Manager to join our growing sales team. The role is UK based and offers flexible/hybrid working, giving you the opportunity to identify prospective customers and partners across the UK and Europe, from start-ups through to enterprise organisations.
This role focuses on new business development, particularly generating profitable relationships through your own network and outreach. You will learn about our core and value-added proposition, applying our solutions to address customer needs, particularly within sectors where credit risk is a factor, such as travel, tourism, leisure, ticketing, amusements, and other e-commerce markets.
We are looking for someone who brings energy and initiative, with a track record of developing and delivering effective business development plans, working both independently and collaboratively with the wider team.
Relevant sales experience and a track record of achieving results is important for this role.
What We Expect of You,
Day To Day:
• Actively seek new prospective merchants and introducers, communicating the benefits of Trust Payments' range of products and services.
• Identify key challenges for merchants and partners, and address these by recommending the right products and services while agreeing profitable terms.
• Discuss and agree commercial and contractual terms, with support available from your Line Manager, Department Director and Pricing Manager where needed.
• Support newly onboarded customers until they are ready to transition to an Account Manager.
• Maintain strong relationships with introducers, building trust and helping to grow their portfolio of introduced merchants.
• Keep the CRM system updated regularly to support accurate reporting, forecasting and pipeline management.
• Represent the business at trade events as required.
• Attend meetings with prospective clients and partners in person where possible, to support quality conversations and help address identified challenges collaboratively.
Qualifications
• At least 2 years' experience in payments sales, including researching client needs, recommending solutions and helping resolve business challenges.
• Comfortable engaging with stakeholders at C-level.
• Experience with e-commerce gateways and technical sales, along with strong skills in needs analysis, solution-focused selling, discussion of terms, and communication.
• Recent experience using a consultative selling approach.
• Able to demonstrate consistent development of business within our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) and target markets.
• Experience in sector-specific, strategy-based sales approaches.
