Build your career within one of the UK’s leading Employment & Reward teams.
We are looking for an experienced employment lawyer to join our growing national
practice. This opportunity offers high-quality work, genuine UK-wide
collaboration and a clear platform for progression, with the flexibility to be
based in Glasgow, Birmingham or Leeds.
The opportunity
Our Employment & Reward Group is one of the largest and most experienced teams
in the UK. With more than 60 employment lawyers nationwide and colleagues across
Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific, we combine strong local relationships
with the reach to support complex, cross-border matters.
You will advise leading UK and international organisations, including
household-name businesses and major institutions. Clients value our team as
commercial partners who understand their sectors, anticipate challenges and
provide practical advice that supports wider business and people objectives.
This is an opportunity to undertake varied, strategic work rather than simply
identify legal risk. You will help clients navigate sensitive workforce issues,
deliver change and find solutions that are legally robust, commercially
realistic and aligned with their objectives.
The work
The work is broad, often high profile and may include:
• Complex Employment Tribunal and High Court litigation
• Strategic workforce projects, reorganisations and redundancies
• Industrial relations, senior exits and executive reward
• Team moves, restrictive covenants and global mobility
• Employment support on corporate transactions and outsourcing
• Workplace investigations, equality and pay reporting
• The changing impact of technology and AI on the workplace
Many matters have an international dimension, giving you the opportunity to work
closely with colleagues across our global network. As the group continues to
grow, you will be trusted with meaningful responsibility, supported by
market-leading specialists and encouraged to build your profile, deepen client
relationships and develop your career.
You can be based in Glasgow, Birmingham or Leeds and will work as part of one
connected national team. Each office offers access to strong regional
relationships alongside UK-wide and international matters.
What we’re looking for
You will be a UK-qualified employment lawyer with at least 4 years’ PQE gained
in a strong commercial practice. You will be comfortable advising on strategic
employment matters and handling complex disputes.
You will bring strong
technical skills, sound commercial judgement, clear
communication and a collaborative approach. You will enjoy working across
offices and disciplines, contributing ideas and building trusted relationships
with clients and colleagues. Most importantly, you will be motivated by the
opportunity to help grow the practice and shape the next stage of your career.
Why join us?
You will join an award-winning Employment practice with an established national
presence, high-quality client relationships and a strong pipeline of strategic,
contentious and international work.
You will have the support and scope to take
on meaningful responsibility, develop specialist expertise and progress your
career within a collaborative team.
