A Day in the Life:
Lead the Franchise Transformation Office as the integrated program-management
and orchestration engine for corporate-to-franchise conversions and the build of
the capabilities required for the future franchise platform. Translate
transaction milestones and future-state ambition into a credible, executable
plan; establish the governance and decision rights needed to move quickly; and
drive cross-functional execution through to readiness, capability launch, and
sustained adoption.
The Director, Franchise Transformation Office reports to the Global Head of
Franchise Growth. The role will also work closely with the Transaction/Deal
lead, the Capability Build/Platform Director, and functional workstream owners.
The role creates a single integrated view of plan, progress, value, risks,
decisions, dependencies, communications, and readiness – serving as a trusted
thought partner to senior leaders and the accountable orchestrator of the
program drumbeat.
What You'll Do:
Lead the Franchise Transformation Office
• Stand up and lead a high-performing Transformation Office that provides the
structure, pace, transparency, and cross-functional coordination required to
deliver the franchise transformation.
• Clarify roles, accountabilities, ways of working, and expectations across the
core team and workstream leads.
Own the integrated transformation plan
• Build and maintain the single integrated plan across transactions, capability
build, technology, organization, and franchise-platform workstreams.
• Translate strategic ambition into milestones, critical path activities,
decision points, deliverables, accountable owners, and measurable outcomes.
Drive planning and readiness
• Orchestrate the corporate-to-franchise conversion program across people,
processes, systems, contracts, assets, and transition services working
closely with the Transaction Lead Director.
• Maintain target transaction timelines, day 1 readiness view, asset-perimeter
decisions, TSA requirements, disentanglement roadmap, and cross-functional
dependencies needed for each conversion or transaction wave.
Coordinate the franchise-platform capability build
• Work with the Director of Franchise Platform to coordinate the roadmap,
define, design, build, and launch the capabilities required for a world-class
franchise platform.
• Ensure each capability has a clear objective, owner, roadmap, investment,
dependencies, and readiness criteria.
Establish governance and decision-making
• Design and run the program governance and decision cadence, including
Executive Sponsor and SteerCo forums, Transformation Office meetings,
workstream reviews, and issue-resolution sessions.
• Prepare high-quality agendas and pre-reads, drive decisions to closure,
maintain decision logs, and ensure escalations reach the right forum with
clear options and recommendations.
Manage risks, issues, interdependencies, and resources
• Maintain an integrated view of risks, roadblocks, interdependencies, resource
constraints, and required decisions across the program.
• Proactively identify where sequencing, funding, talent, technology, or
functional capacity may threaten delivery; resolve issues where possible and
escalate decisively when leadership action is required.
Lead transformation communications and change
• Create and maintain the transformation narrative, communication strategy, and
stakeholder cadence across executives, functional leaders, impacted teams,
and external or franchisee-facing audiences as appropriate.
• Ensure communications are timely, consistent, tailored to each audience, and
connected to the practical changes in roles, processes, systems, and ways of
working.
Track value, investment, and program performance
• Partner with the Strategy & Execution team to track investment, benefits,
value drivers, milestones, KPIs, and delivery confidence.
• Provide leadership with a fact base on what is on track, where value or
readiness is at risk, and what actions are required to protect the
transformation case.
Build capability and transition to steady state
• Develop the Transformation Office team and embed repeatable tools, routines,
and management disciplines that can be sustained after the separation
program.
• Capture lessons learned, strengthen the franchise organization’s
program-management and change capabilities, and ensure ownership transitions
cleanly to the steady-state franchise platform and operating model.
What We're Looking For:
* 5+ years of experience leading enterprise transformation, separation,
carve-out, integration, strategic PMO, operating-model design, or comparable
cross-functional change programs – with demonstrated ownership from planning
through execution
• Proven ability to lead complex programs with multiple interdependent
workstreams, moving between strategic problem-solving and rigorous day-to-day
execution
• Strong program-management discipline, including integrated planning,
critical-path management, milestone tracking, issue and risk management,
dependency mapping, decision logs, and executive reporting
• Experience designing and running effective transformation governance,
including SteerCo and executive forums, workstream cadences, stage gates,
escalation paths, and decision-rights frameworks
• Demonstrated experience managing separation or transition topics across
people, processes, systems, contracts, assets, technology, and transition
services; franchise, hospitality, mobility, or other asset-light network
experience is a strong plus
• Experience building new capabilities, operating models, processes, tools,
playbooks, and teams - translating a future-state ambition into sequenced
work, clear owners, investment requirements, and readiness criteria
• Strong communication and change-leadership skills, including the ability to
create a compelling case for change, tailor messages to different stakeholder
groups, and maintain alignment through ambiguity and disruption
• Executive presence and credibility with C-suite and senior functional
leaders; able to challenge assumptions, push back constructively and
influence outcomes without direct authority
• Sound financial and commercial acumen, with the ability to understand
business cases, track investment and value realization, and connect delivery
progress to the transformation’s strategic and economic objectives
• Demonstrated ability to build, motivate, and develop high-performing teams in
dynamic environments, with strong personal resilience, judgment, and bias
toward action
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to
simplify complex issues, make risks and decisions visible, and communicate a
clear, consistent program narrative
