Job summary – What to expect:
This role is a key strategic partner to the Senior Director, EMEA Distribution,
providing financial leadership and acting as a trusted advisor to support
business performance and decision making across the region. As a member of the
EMEA Finance Go To Market Leadership Team, EMEA Commercial & Operations
Leadership Team, and EMEA Leadership Operations group, the role also serves as
the finance figurehead for the 1,100-strong EMEA distribution organisation.
Operating within a matrix structure, the position reports to the Senior Finance
Director, EMEA, with a dotted-line relationship to the Finance Director, Global
Distribution.
Responsible for the financial leadership of a $1bn+ distribution business and a
$113m operating budget, this role drives forecasting, performance analysis,
strategic planning, and business insights across multiple distribution channels.
Leading a regional finance team of 12, with responsibility for teams in the UK,
Belgium and Hungary, the role focuses on enhancing analytics, improving
processes and controls, supporting investment decisions, and identifying
opportunities to improve cost efficiency while maintaining customer service
excellence. This is a highly visible leadership position requiring strong
finance expertise, stakeholder management, and the ability to influence senior
leaders across a complex, international organisation.
Responsibilities:
• Participate as a key member of the Global Distribution Finance management
team and, as such, be responsible for overall results and the formulation of
the business strategy, supporting and challenging the regional Distribution
Senior Director, as well as the site Directors and their respective teams.
• Participate as a key member of the Go to Market Finance team providing
Commercial colleagues with insight into Distribution activities as well as
strengthening the collaboration to ensure overall business objectives are
met.
• Leading and coaching the dedicated finance support delivering insightful
information on a consistent and standardized basis to enhance management
decision making.
• Responsible for coordinating the annual budget process and quarterly forecast
preparation for distribution across multiple sites, in accordance with CV
timelines.
• Coordinate and prepare Long Range Strategic Financial Planning process across
sites to ensure deliverables are met.
• Drive consistent reports and analysis of financial results to support both
the timely and accurate monthly close process and functional management
reviews.
• Responsible for the fixed assets and capital investment within operation
sites to ensure accurate asset reporting in accordance with accounting
policy.
• Accountable for Implementation / monitor and development of controls of
operations maintaining the relationship with internal & external auditors to
ensure effective delivery & sign off controls for multiple sites & ACE region
• Responsible for reviewing and approving inventory strategy and plans across
multiple locations including silver stock & finished goods
• Lead ad-hoc special projects that support management decision-making, working
with various cross functional teams including commercial

Experience & Education:

• Direct, hands-on experience in creating, tracking and controlling actual,
forecasts and budget metrics.
• Necessary gravitas to influence within multiple Leadership teams, as well as
represent leadership team to the 1100 distribution employees
• Proven ability to analyze actual vs. plan results and summarize underlying
drivers of variances as well as providing clear and succinct interpretation
of results to management.
• Broad technical accounting expertise, preferable good working knowledge of US
GAAP & SOX
• Ability to participate in multi-cultural, multi-linguistic operating
environment
• Teamplayer, communicator
• Proven managerial skills leading and developing an extensive team
• A European subsidiary of a US multi-national, with responsibility for
logistics/operations finance functions
• Matrix style organization
• Qualified Accountant or University Degree in Finance
• Minimum 10 years-experience
Work environment
• Travel to the sites of responsibility, as well as potential additional travel
where necessary
• Multi-cultural environment, with global interactions
• Must be prepared to work extended hours on occasion
