About the Role:
We are looking to recruit a Casual Cleaning Operative who is required to carry
out cleaning duties in the Fleetwood area.
A flexible approach to work is required, as the successful candidate would be
required to cover sickness, holidays or provide support to meet additional
service demands. Providing your own transport is an advantage, but not
essential.
The Facilities Management team is responsible for some for some of the most
prestigious and iconic buildings in Lancashire. These buildings provide
essential services to the community and vulnerable people.
High standards of cleanliness are expected, and prior experience is desirable;
however full training and ongoing support will be provided.
Duties will consist of general cleaning, such as damp wiping, damp mopping,
vacuuming, and toilet cleaning.
In exchange for your hard work and professionalism, Lancashire County Council is
proud to offer the Foundation Living Wage for this post. Foundation Living Wage
is independently-calculated each year based on what employees and their families
need to live.
We reserve the right to close the vacancy early if we receive sufficient
applications.
Local Government Reorganisation
The Government has confirmed that local government across Lancashire will be
reorganised, with the current 15 councils being replaced by four new unitary
councils covering North, South, East and West Lancashire from April 20
28.
If you are successful in your application, you will initially join Lancashire
County Council. However, as part of the planned transition, your employment will
transfer to one of the new unitary councils from April 2028, subject to the
implementation of the reorganisation and relevant employment legislation.
Throughout this period, our focus remains on delivering excellent services to
our communities. By joining us now, you'll play an important role in shaping the
future of local government and helping to build a strong new organisation that
will serve residents for years to come.
