Job Description We are currently recruiting for a General Service Assistant to join our team in Strensall, York, YO32 5SW. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hardworking and reliable individual to become part of a busy catering operation, supporting the team to maintain high standards of cleanliness and service across the site. What's in it for you? £12.71 per hour 30 hours per week working 5 days over 7 (including some weekends) Free on-site parking Access to on-site gym facilities Discounted meals whilst on duty Access to our Employee Benefits app, including online GP access, Employee Assistance Programme, discounts, supermarket savings and more Life assurance and pension scheme Training and development opportunities Apprenticeship schemes available Career progression within a global organisation Supportive and inclusive working environment What you'll be doing Pot washing and maintaining high standards of cleanliness within the kitchen Cleaning kitchen equipment, work surfaces, and food preparation areas Sweeping, mopping, and maintaining floors throughout the catering operation Cleaning dining areas and ensuring they remain presentable at all times Assisting with general housekeeping duties across the site Supporting the wider catering team with operational tasks as required Following health & safety, food safety, and company procedures at all times Helping to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for customers and colleagues Qualifications Positive attitude and willingness to learn Reliable and hardworking approach to work Good communication skills Ability to work effectively as part of a team Flexible approach and willingness to undertake a variety of duties Good attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards Full training will be provided, so previous experience is not essential Additional Information Successful candidates will be required to complete a DBS check. BPSS security clearance will be required prior to commencing employment.
