Job Description: As the System Design Authority for the Atlassian Competency Centre, you'll work closely across business functions and the Shared Delivery Unit (SDU) to ensure the Air Sector has a business-driven IM&T technical strategy and architecture that maximises value from IM&T investments while effectively managing risk. Acting under delegation from the Air Chief Digital Architect, you'll provide technical authority and oversight for the Atlassian Competency Centre's activities and technical team. You'll also serve as the subject matter expert for Atlassian solutions across Air Sector projects, providing architectural guidance and supporting the design of scalable, secure and effective solutions and infrastructure. Core duties: Develop, manage and govern the Air Sector Atlassian architecture, ensuring alignment with Air Sector and Group enterprise strategy and the effective integration of Atlassian solutions across the wider technology landscape Approve and govern Atlassian-related business requirements, solution designs, acceptance criteria and test acceptance criteria Influence business solution strategy and roadmaps in collaboration with strategic vendors, Air Sector functions, architectural colleagues and the Head of the Atlassian Competency Centre Support the Air Chief Digital Architect and wider Architecture Practice with the development, implementation and governance of architectural policies and procedures Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives within the Atlassian Competency Centre Essential Skills: Significant experience in architecture governance, with extensive knowledge of the Atlassian product suite Experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale Atlassian solutions within complex environments Knowledge of TOGAF or comparable enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies The Atlassian Competency Centre team: The Atlassian Competency Centre is responsible for providing architectural leadership, governance and technical expertise across the Air Sector's Atlassian ecosystem. Working closely with business and technology stakeholders, the team ensures solutions are aligned to strategic objectives while delivering value through standardised, scalable and secure platforms.
