As part of this, we are recruiting five Strategic Technology Business Partners to play a key role in embedding technology across the Council.   About the role As a Strategic Technology Business Partner, you will work closely with one or more Council directorates, becoming a trusted advisor and critical link between services and the Technology function. You will ensure technology is not just delivered, but truly enables transformation, supporting services to innovate, improve efficiency, and enhance outcomes for citizens. You will: • Partner with directorate leadership to shape and deliver technology-enabled transformation • Lead or support complex programmes and projects from concept through to delivery • Translate business needs into clear, deliverable technology solutions • Drive service improvement, process redesign and adoption of new ways of working • Use data and insight to support decision-making and continuous improvement 📊 • Champion digital skills and adoption, building confidence and capability across services • Ensure alignment with cyber security, governance, and best practice 🔐 • Build strong relationships across services, suppliers, and senior stakeholders This is a highly collaborative and influential role where you will embed yourself within services and help shape their future. About you We’re looking for people who bring a blend of strategic thinking, relationship management and delivery expertise. You will bring: • Experience in business partnering, transformation, or delivering technology change • Strong understanding of project delivery, business analysis, or service improvement • Ability to work in complex environments and manage competing priorities • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills • Commercial awareness and experience of working with suppliers • A passion for using technology to drive better outcomes for people and communities  You will be confident working with both technical and non-technical audiences, able to translate complex ideas into clear, actionable solutions.
