Skills Essential: Ability to apply range of Adult Social Care legislation, proportionality and least restrictive practice in complex situations. Ability to exercise professional judgement within statutory frameworks and clearly evidence decision making rationale. Ability to provide professional challenge and engage in reflective supervision. Ability to take a lead role in jointly-worked complex cases. Ability to manage time effectively in assessing, planning, monitoring and reviewing service user’s needs and services. As this post meets the requirements of the Immigration Act 2016 (part 7), the ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post. Knowledge Essential: Knowledge of Making Safeguarding Personal and strengths based social work practice. Knowledge/skills of Care Act, and Mental Capacity Act. Knowledge of professional standards and regulatory requirements relevant to Social Work England. Knowledge of Managing Expectations.
