Location: HSK, London, W8 5HY
Start: Immediately
Position: Internship - 3 months to begin with, with a prospect to extend to 6 months on successful completion of the first 3 months.
Hours: 20hrs p/w
Pay: London living wage paid pro-rata to the hours worked.
About the role
You will primarily be working embedded in the product design team, where the day-to-day will be working across the New Scientist and I Paper website, app, newsletters and other digital formats alongside our two senior product designers.
You will also help with our marketing and brand design team on a regular basis where you may work on marketing assets, brand decks and other digital and print design tasks as needed, you will be working with two brand and marketing designers.
Person Specification
The ideal student would be someone who has an interest and strong skills in:
Product design, UX/UI and broader digital design
Marketing & Brand design
Very collaborative and works well in a group/team settings
Comfortable presenting their work
Works well with constructive feedback from tutors and peers during design-share sessions
We are really looking for someone who is passionate about the craft of design, who doesn’t rely on any AI tools to produce their day-to-day work and who is comfortable working at a human pace to create beautifully considered design work.
