DATA LEAD, OPERATIONS DOMAIN Luton | Full-time | Hybrid 30%25 bonus • 7%25 pension • Staff travel benefits We support hybrid working, and you’ll spend 60%25 of your time each month in the office. You’re a strategic data leader who knows how to turn business priorities into measurable outcomes. You enjoy working with senior stakeholders, influencing without authority, and bringing together diverse teams to solve complex challenges. If you’re passionate about using data to improve operational performance and delivering value in fast-paced environments, this is an opportunity to help shape the future of data at easyJet. THE OPPORTUNITY As Data Lead for the Operations domain, you’ll be the senior data partner to Operations leadership and the driving force behind the domain’s data agenda. Working as part of a newly evolving Data and Analytics operating model, you’ll define priorities, shape the roadmap and coordinate delivery across analytics, engineering, data science, architecture and governance teams. Rather than leading a direct team, you’ll deliver through influence, collaboration and strong stakeholder partnerships. This is a rare opportunity to help build a growing data function while working in one of the most data-rich operational environments in Europe. "The ideal person for this role combines strategic thinking with practical delivery. You'll be comfortable influencing senior stakeholders, navigating complexity and ensuring data investment translates into real business value across our operation." THE TEAM & CULTURE The Data and Analytics function is being rebuilt around a domain operating model, with Data Leads acting as the connection point between business teams and central data capabilities. You'll work closely with specialists across Data Engineering, Data Architecture, Data Analytics, Data Science and Data Governance, while partnering with Operations leaders to embed data-driven decision making throughout the business. It's a collaborative environment where success comes through influence, strong relationships and a shared focus on delivering meaningful outcomes. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING You'll define and own the data strategy and roadmap for the Operations domain, ensuring priorities align with business goals and the wider enterprise data transformation programme. You'll partner with senior stakeholders to understand business challenges, translate them into data products and analytics use cases, and ensure initiatives are prioritised against clear measures of value. You'll coordinate delivery across multi-disciplinary teams, securing the right resources, managing dependencies and driving adoption of data products across the domain. You'll also champion data governance, quality and standards, helping stakeholders understand their ownership responsibilities while improving data maturity across the Operations function. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR You'll bring significant experience in data and analytics, with a proven track record of delivering measurable business outcomes through data-led initiatives. You'll have experience working with senior stakeholders and influencing decisions in complex, matrixed environments where delivery teams and resources are shared. We're particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate: Experience leading or coordinating data delivery within a business-facing environment. Strong commercial awareness and a focus on business value rather than technical outputs. Experience in operational, logistics, aviation, retail, telecommunications, hospitality or other time-sensitive environments. Expertise in defining operational KPIs, reporting frameworks and trusted metrics. Experience coordinating analytics, engineering and data science capabilities. Knowledge of modern data platforms such as Databricks, Azure, AWS or GCP. Understanding of data products, domain operating models and modern data governance approaches. Strong communication skills with the ability to bridge technical and business audiences. Confidence working with ambiguity and balancing competing priorities.
