Your mission We are looking for an experienced Quality Control (QC) Inspector to join our manufacturing team. This role is critical in ensuring that high precision, complex machined components meet strict quality standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements. Our work involves low, medium, and high-volume production, supporting a wide range of industries and client requirements. The successful candidate will be detail oriented, adaptable, and capable of working with varied work demands, ensuring that quality standards are maintained while responding to changing production priorities. This position plays a key role in supporting production teams where accuracy, reliability, and repeatability are essential. About the role The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for: Inspection & Measurement Perform first-off, in-process, and final inspections on machined components whilemonitoringthe inspection schedule to align with job priorities. Use precision measurement equipment and hand tools, including micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, height gauges, and CMM equipment. Verify that dimensions, tolerances, and surface finishescomply withengineering drawings and customer specifications. Conduct visual inspections to identify defects such as scratches, porosity, contamination, or machining imperfections. Quality Documentation & Reporting Complete inspection reports and quality documentation accurately andin a timely manner. Create FAIRs (First Article Inspection Reports) and ISIRs (Initial Sample Inspection Reports) in line with customer and industry standards. Upload required inspection documentation and reports to customer portals. Support 8D investigations and corrective action processes. Production Support Work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues. Provide feedback on dimensional issues, process inconsistencies, or potential improvements. Assistwith validating dimensional orappearancequeries whenrequired. Calibration & Gauge Management Record calibration dates, due dates, and results within the calibration management system (PSLDatatrack). Ensure all gauges and measuring instrumentsmaintainvalid calibration certification. Log and manage all gauges and instruments, assigning unique identification numbers for traceability. Coordinate calibration activities with external calibration providers to avoid production delays. Manage the check-in/check-out process for gauges and measuring equipment. Support internal and external audits relating to gauge compliance. Standards & Compliance Ensure manufacturing processescomply withinternal quality procedures and customer requirements. Maintain adherence to the Quality Management System (QMS) and company accreditations. Uphold health & safety standards, reporting any concernspromptlyand supporting compliance audits. Teamwork & Continuous Improvement Provide guidance and mentorshiptotrainees or apprentices whererequired. Collaborate with engineers, programmers, and machine setters to resolve production or quality issues. Support lean manufacturing and quality improvement initiatives. Your profile Essential: Experience inspecting high precision, complexmachinedcomponents. Strong understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, and tight tolerances. Experience using precision measurement equipment (micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, height gauges, CMM equipment). Experience creating FAIRs and ISIRs and completing quality documentation. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and traceability. Ability to work across low, medium, and high production volumes. Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
