At Sweet Project Construction Limited (SPCL), we work within the data, defence and energy sectors. We are a comprehensive design, construction and engineering provider, offering services spanning site acquisition, architecture and refurbishment through to client occupancy. This role will initially be based on our Alliance Park project in Acton, supporting the delivery of two new hyperscale data centres together with associated office, substation and infrastructure works.
Reporting to the Technical Manager – Information Management, the Senior Document Controller will lead the day-to-day operation of Document Control across assigned projects, providing operational oversight, guidance and support to the wider Document Control team.
The role will have primary responsibility for Alliance Park whilst maintaining oversight of other projects and providing support and cover across the business where required. The successful candidate will manage project information throughout the project lifecycle, from mobilisation and CDE establishment through design and construction to project closeout and handover.
The role will drive consistency, compliance and continual improvement in Document Control processes and act as a key operational point of contact for project information and document control matters. Experience required

• Experience managing Common Data Environments
• Experience coordinating multiple projects and stakeholders
• Experience supervising or mentoring others
• Desirable
• Data centre or mission-critical project experience
• Handover and O&M documentation experience
• ISO 19650 environment experience
Qualifications
• Essential
• Relevant qualification or equivalent experience in Document Control, Information Management, construction or a related discipline
• CSCS card or willingness to obtain one where required
• Desirable
• ISO 19650, Document Control or Information Management qualification or training
• Construction, engineering or digital information-related qualification

• Lead day-to-day Document Control activities across assigned projects
• Support and mentor Document Controllers and provide project cover where required
• Promote consistent Document Control standards, procedures and working practices
• Support workload planning, prioritisation and resource allocation across the function
Information Management & CDE Administration
• Configure and administer Common Data Environments including Asite, Autodesk Construction Cloud and SharePoint
• Manage workflows, permissions, user access, metadata, naming conventions and review processes
• Monitor information exchanges and ensure compliance with project information requirements
• Support project mobilisation, system setup and user onboarding activities
Quality & Compliance
• Oversee incoming and outgoing project information and undertake quality reviews before formal issue
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, ISO 19650 principles, information security requirements and project requirements
• Support audits, assurance reviews and information governance requirements
• Identify, resolve and escalate Document Control, information quality and compliance issues
Project Delivery & Handover
• Coordinate Document Control activities throughout mobilisation, design, construction, closeout and handover
• Manage document registers, distribution records, review workflows and information trackers
• Coordinate project handover information including O&M manuals, as-built information, commissioning records, certificates and warranties
• Monitor key information deliverables and escalate risks to project delivery
Stakeholder Support & Communication
• Build effective relationships with project teams, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and clients
• Provide training, onboarding and ongoing support to system users
• Act as a key point of contact for Document Control and Information Management matters
• Communicate information requirements, deadlines and compliance issues clearly and constructively
Continuous Improvement
• Develop, monitor and report Document Control KPIs
• Support improvements to systems, processes and reporting
• Share best practice, lessons learned and industry developments across the business
• Contribute to the development of the Information Management function
