We’re opening a brand-new, two-bed children’s home near Spalding and we’re looking for great Residential Support Workers to join the team. This is a small, focused home supporting a maximum of two young people, which means you’ll have the time to build genuine relationships, provide consistent support and be part of creating a home that feels safe, calm and welcoming. No huge unit. No endless corridors. No feeling like just another name on the rota. Just a small home, a close-knit team and the opportunity to make a real difference to two young people. THE PACKAGE £33,488 salary 40.25 hours per week Day shifts £2,000 joining bonus! You’ll also receive ongoing training, support and opportunities to develop your career within children’s residential care. ABOUT THE HOME Our new Spalding service will be a small two-bed children’s residential home supporting young people with EBD, SEMH, trauma and complex needs. Our approach is therapeutic, trauma-informed and relationship-based. We focus on: · Positive Behaviour Support · PACE · Trauma-informed practice · Building safe and trusting relationships · Consistency and clear boundaries · Helping young people develop confidence and independence Most importantly, we want the home to feel like exactly that: a home. WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING? · As a Residential Support Worker, you’ll be part of the young person’s everyday life. · That means helping with the ordinary things as well as the difficult ones. · Your role will include: · Building positive and trusting relationships with young people · Supporting daily routines and structure · Helping with education, appointments and activities · Supporting young people to develop life skills and independence · Providing emotional support during difficult moments · Helping young people regulate their emotions · Promoting positive behaviour and healthy choices · Supporting safeguarding and following care plans · Completing clear and accurate records · Working closely with your colleagues and the Registered Manager · Helping create a safe, welcoming and homely environment · Some days will be challenging. · Some days will be brilliant. · But every day, you’ll have the opportunity to make a difference. WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? We’re looking for people with the right attitude. You’ll need to be: · Caring and compassionate · Calm under pressure · Reliable and consistent · Confident setting appropriate boundaries · A good communicator · Resilient · Positive and energetic · Able to work well as part of a small team · Passionate about supporting young people · A full UK driving licence holder · Previous experience in children’s residential care is desirable, but attitude, values and the ability to build strong relationships are just as important. · A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare would be advantageous, although training and development can be provided for the right person.
