Theatre Manager | Theatre Department | Spire London East Hospital | Private
Hospital | Full time - 37.5hrs | Competitive salary plus excellent benefits
Spire London East Hospital is looking for an experienced Theatre Manager to lead
our Theatre team. This is a key leadership role within a busy department, with
responsibility for maintaining high standards of patient care, supporting and
developing staff, and ensuring the service runs safely and effectively.
You'll work closely with the wider hospital leadership team to drive
performance, manage resources and create an environment where both patients and
colleagues have a positive experience.
Duties and responsibilities:
• Lead the day-to-day operation of the Theatre Department, ensuring the service
is safe, efficient and delivers against key performance targets.
• Support, develop and motivate the theatre team, promoting a culture of
teamwork, accountability and high-quality patient care.
• Manage workforce planning and department resources to meet operational
demands.
• Oversee recruitment, induction, training, performance management and staff
development.
• Create a positive learning environment through coaching, mentorship and
clinical supervision.
• Manage patient feedback and complaints, identifying opportunities to improve
the service and patient experience.
• Ensure information is recorded and handled in line with GDPR and Spire
policies.
• Promote and maintain best practice in health and safety, governance and
patient safety.
Who we're looking for
• Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) with current NMC
or HCPC registration.
• Significant leadership experience within a busy theatre environment.
• Proven experience managing and developing multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong understanding of theatre operations, clinical governance and patient
safety.
• Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships across teams.
• Experience delivering service improvements and driving operational
performance.
• A positive and collaborative leader who leads by example.
• Committed to delivering excellent patient care and supporting colleagues to
do their best work.
