Location: Wellington, Somerset
Salary: £36,000 per annum + approximately 2 sleep-ins per week
Contract: Permanent, Full Time
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Deputy Manager to support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of a children's residential home in Wellington.
Tasks
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the Registered Manager with the effective day-to-day operation of the home.
Lead shifts and provide management oversight in the Registered Manager's absence.
Support audits, quality assurance and Ofsted compliance.
Work with social workers, families, schools and other professionals.
Support admissions, placement planning and reviews.
Requirements
KEY REQUIREMENTS
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent.
Significant residential childcare experience.
Experience supervising, mentoring or leading staff.
Strong knowledge of safeguarding and children's home regulations.
Understanding of trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches.
Willingness to complete Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare if not already achieved.
Full UK driving licence..
Enhanced DBS and satisfactory references required.
