Temporary Works Coordinator
Location – Leiston, Suffolk
What you will be doing:
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Temporary Works Coordinator
to join our new major highways project in Leiston, Suffolk as part of the
Sizewell C developments.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all temporary works
on site. You will work closely with senior management and the wider operational
team to successfully deliver the works.
• Oversee all temporary works activities, maintaining a comprehensive temporary
works register.
• Ensure receipt and distribution of all relevant design data from the client,
principal designer, and permanent works designer.
• Develop site-appropriate design briefs in consultation with the project team,
referencing nearby temporary works, and issue them to the Temporary Works
Designer (TWD).
• Confirm that design checks are done by individuals not involved in the
original design process.
• Make certified designs available to interested parties like the principal
designer, permanent works designer, and client, if required.
• Register and archive all design documents, including drawings and
calculations, and obtain necessary approvals.
• Provide full design details, risks, and method statements to the site team
responsible for implementation.
• Implement inspection/test plans and checklists, ensuring
material/construction changes are vetted against the original design.
• Conduct checks throughout the process, manage discrepancies, and issue
permits to load, proceed, or unload as appropriate.
• Verify structural stability before dismantling, ensure safe systems are in
place, and transfer relevant information to the health and safety file.
