As part of supporting our growing consumables department, we are now recruiting a Process Operative on a temporary 3 month contract to join our SPT Labtech team. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the team deliver high quality consumables to meet our customers’ expectations. You will be responsible for carrying out production tasks and running quality control checks. About us: Based in Melbourn, SPT Labtech makes products that transform the way scientists work. Your key responsibilities will include: Work safely in a cleanroom, maintaining excellent housekeeping whilst following appropriate safety, environment and risk management systems. Keep reliable records of work undertaken with results. To abide by all company policies and procedures, working safely and reporting any accidents or incidents. Meticulously follow work instructions and SOPs (standard operating procedures). Maintain accurate production records and work with the team to enhance quality output. Contribute to problem-solving activity in the spirit of continuous improvement. Skills & Attributes You will be/have: Embracing SPT Labtech’s core values of Customer-centric, Collaborative, Agile and Innovative. Excellent attention to detail. Experience in a manufacturing environments. A strong work ethic, be high-energy and reliable. Used to following procedures in line with quality instructions Excellent communication (verbal and written) and collaboration skills. · Proactive approach to problem-solving. The essentials: Respect for good health and safety practices. Motivated self-starter with ability to work on their own to achieve output and goals. Experience of working well within a team. Flexible approach to work and a willingness to move to other areas within consumables production. Must be able to be trained in the proper handling of chemicals and hazardous waste.
