Role Reform UK is seeking a Governance Assistant to support the administration of party governance matters, including disciplinary processes, as well as assisting with the vetting of candidates. The role is therefore focused on matters of a highly sensitive and confidential nature. Integrity, sound judgement and the ability to maintain absolute discretion at all times are essential. Key tasks The role will include: • Supporting governance procedures, including the preparation of reports for the Discipline Committee • Maintaining accurate records and databases, including for those progressing through the defections process • Drafting professional and factually accurate correspondence • Assisting with the vetting of candidates. • Handling sensitive information with the highest level of confidentiality. Essential skills and attributes • Clear understanding of the importance of confidentiality • Adaptability and being able to manage multiple tasks efficiently • Excellent administrative skills, including strong proficiency in Excel and database management • Strong written communication skills • Organised, reliable and having a high attention to detail.
