Spire St Anthony's Hospital is seeking a highly experienced and proactive
Hospital Engineering Manager to lead our Estates and Engineering function. This
is a key leadership role responsible for managing five heritage buildings,
ensuring compliance, safety, and operational excellence across the hospital
site.

Duties and Responsibilities:
* Lead the delivery of safe, efficient, and compliant engineering services
across the hospital site.
* Ensure best practice and consistency in all aspects of engineering and
estates management.
* Oversee planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring buildings and equipment
are maintained to the highest standards.
* Manage and develop a skilled team of site engineers and handymen, supporting
their professional growth.
* Ensure full compliance with Spire’s Fire Policy and all regulatory
requirements, including CQC and Public Health England standards.
* Act as the hospital’s Approved Person (AP) for key systems including medical
gases, water safety, low voltage electrical services, decontamination
equipment, and heating & ventilation.
Who We’re Looking For:
We are looking for a confident and experienced Engineering or Estates Lead with:
* AP Qualification is desired.
* A relevant background in electrical, plumbing, or building services
engineering.
* Previous experience of working within a hospital or healthcare environment is
an essential requirement of this role.
* Strong management experience essential.
* Previous experience in managing a team.
* Proven ability to lead and develop teams.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* A proactive, flexible approach and commitment to continuous improvement.
Contract Type: Permanent – Full Time – 37.5 hours per week
