Role: Production Coordinator (Electrics/Hydraulics/Set & Test)
Location: Worksop, S80 3AT
Hours: 40 hpw, between 06:00 and 16:30 Monday to Friday
Hourly rate: up to £18.50 p/hr
Are you an experienced manufacturing professional with practical electrical and hydraulic knowledge? Do you enjoy solving problems, supporting colleagues and helping production run smoothly? As our Production Coordinator, you’ll coordinate activity across the Electrics, Hydraulics, Set & Test area. You’ll provide practical guidance to the team, help achieve safety, quality and production targets, and deputise for the Lead Production Coordinator when required.
What you’ll be doing:
Coordinate daily production activity and help the team meet safety, quality and output targets
Provide clear guidance and practical support to team members
Monitor quality, raise concerns and support investigations
Help resolve electrical, hydraulic and production issues
Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency and operation times
Maintain a safe, clean and organised working area
Escalate issues that could affect output, quality or cost
Support the supervision of overtime shifts when needed
What you’ll bring:
Experience working within a manufacturing environment
The ability to read electrical and hydraulic drawings
Practical electrical and hydraulic fitting or electro-mechanical assembly skills
An understanding of workplace health and safety
A structured approach to problem-solving
Clear communication skills and the ability to work to deadlines
The ability to guide, support and encourage colleagues
Flexibility to support weekday or weekend overtime when required
Experience within manufacturing engineering or the commercial vehicle industry, team coordination experience, CAN bus knowledge, a relevant vocational qualification and confidence using Outlook, Word and Excel would be welcome, but are not essential
