The Role
As an Event Assistant, you're a key part of delivering the Lumos guest experience. This is a stage set up role intertwined with a customer-facing role focused on professionalism, presentation and supporting the Event Manager to ensure every concert runs smoothly. You represent the Lumos brand at all times — from the moment guests arrive to the moment they leave.
It's a great fit for someone who's got a good eye for detail and confident around people, takes pride in how they present themselves, and enjoys being part of a live music atmosphere.
What You'll Be Doing
Guest Welcome & Front of House
Greet guests warmly and professionally on arrival
Assist with ticket checking and guest list management
Direct guests to seating areas
Answer general questions about the evening
Support audience flow before, during and after the performance
On-Site Support
Assist the Event Manager with non-technical event setup
Help manage seating adjustments and late arrivals
Monitor audience areas during the performance
Assist with an orderly guest exit at the end of the event
Ensure a team member is always present in the room as a point of contact
Conduct & Professionalism
Remain calm, polite and solutions-focused at all times
Maintain awareness of your surroundings throughout the shift
Speak clearly and confidently to guests
Escalate issues promptly to the Event Manager
Team Support
Follow direction from the Event Manager
Work collaboratively with other staff members
Step in proactively during busy periods
Help maintain a clean, organised front-of-house area

Pay & Details
Pay rate: £12.71 per hour, from arrival at venue to departure
Breaks: Paid 30-minute break for shifts over 6 hours, at the Event Manager's discretion
Travel: Mileage reimbursed at £0.30 per mile (one vehicle reimbursed per journey; travel time itself is not included in shift hours)
Shift pattern: Weekend evenings, flexible/freelance basis
Onboarding: Full training manual and a paid training shift provided before your first solo event
