Programme Quality Engineer - Motorsport

Fortescue is leading the world with our plan to decarbonise our iron ore operations, projects that harness renewable energy and the development of technology that will change our planet forever.   An opportunity has arisen for a Programme Quality Engineer to join the Quality department.  ABOUT THE ROLE Be the main person of reference for Customer Quality performance for Motorsports programmes. Management of non-conformances, including containments, root cause investigations and implementation of Permanent Corrective Actions. Verify compliance of Programme milestones to FZ internal plans. WHAT YOU WILL DO • Lead Containments, Root cause analysis, resolution and implementation of effective corrective actions for non-conformances quickly and reliably. • Ensure Motorsports Programmes are adhering to internal FZ milestones. • Raise and manage internal concessions. • Create and maintain Lesson Learned documents. • Be accountable for FMEA activities, defining when and how they are needed and supporting them as necessary. • Interface with Customers when necessary, ensuring their Quality requirements are considered. Track Customer Quality performance and support its sharing and its improvement. • Defining and reporting on quality metrics and KPIs, identifying trends and driving continuous improvement. • ABOUT YOU • Motorsports experience is required. • A relevant engineering degree with experience of working in a Quality role. • Good communication skills and being a good team player. • Knowledge of quality systems such as ISO9001, IATF16949, VDA, AS9100 or similar is required. • Experience in FMEA and Control Plans is required. • Experience in Problem Solving, NCR, 8D, Concessions and Internal Audits is required. • Exposure to customer-specific quality requirements (i.e. FiA homologations, automotive OEM or Tier 1 requests). • WHAT IS IN IT FOR YOU?
