Partner to join the team in a continued development strategy working with
schools on joint strategies for inclusion, use of alternative provision and
promoting positive outcomes for Leicestershire’s most vulnerable children and
young people.
About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and committed Education Effectiveness Partner to join
our Education Effectiveness Service area within Children and Family Services.
This role involves being the point of contact for all schools, academies,
colleges, and educational settings in a geographical area of Leicestershire,
fostering good working relationships to ensure the best possible education for
children and young people.
Knowledge and an understanding of the current agendas within education,
particularly regarding inclusion, use and development of internal alternative
provision arrangements and SEN would be beneficial. Additionally, strategic
experience in these areas and involvement in the secondary phase would be
advantageous.
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and effective Education Effectiveness
Partner who will:
• Champion and develop practice that promotes inclusive strategies in schools,
central services and other educational settings (e.g., Further Education
Colleges).
• Provide advice and support to schools to inform practice that promotes the
prevention of, and tackles the leading causes for, suspensions, permanent
exclusions and long-term absenteeism.
• Manage national and local initiatives to improve teaching and learning
outcomes for all children and young people.
• Gather, interpret, and apply performance data to identify areas of high or
underperformance.
• Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, demonstrated through
experience of successful management of significant programmes or projects
which include the planning, managing, and delivering of transformation
strategies and influencing partners to deliver within a programme framework.
• Have an awareness of a local authority statutory duties and national/local
initiatives and can demonstrate they can adapt their Qualified Teacher Status
and knowledge of the 5-16 education sectors and performance management
systems to support the requirements on both the local authority and
state-funded schools.
• Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to
deliver complex information to non-specialist staff.
The nature of the work may involve working outside normal hours.
An enhanced with barred list DBS check is required for this post.

About You
To apply for this post, you must:
• Have Qualified Teacher Status with DfE number and extensive experience of
working with schools, including evaluating and developing whole-school
practice and evidence of continued learning and development
• Have a sound understanding of the issues facing schools and how schools
operate and the local authority's statutory duties with regard to 5-16
education and how to secure them.
• Have recent, successful management of significant programmes or projects and
can demonstrate experience of strategic thinking at a senior level.
• Have experience of developing and maintaining initiatives and quality
assuring their effectiveness, identifying, developing and delivering training
to support staff development as required, leadership, influence and
negotiation skills, resolving complex organisational and service issues, and
developing high quality commissioning and procurement services.
• Be able to work independently and with initiative, have effective
communication skills, be well-motivated and flexible, and have a professional
manner and plenty of common sense.
• Be able to deal with sensitive issues with diplomacy and tact.
• Have some understanding of the legislative, regulatory and statutory duties
in Education relating to the right of children and young people to access a
good quality education
