Purpose Of the Role:
To support all Transit Terminal (TT) operations while working collaboratively
within a team environment. The role requires a proactive attitude, a willingness
to learn, and the ability to take direction to develop
key skills and contribute
effectively to daily tasks.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Operate handheld scanning devices to accurately track freight
• Support Short Distance (SD) drivers with loading and unloading activities
• Follow all manual handling and health & safety procedures
• Maintain a clean and organised working environment (general housekeeping)
• Collaborate with warehouse and transport teams to ensure efficient operations
• Learn core terminal processes through practical, hands-on training
• Progress to Material Handling Equipment (MHE) training upon meeting key
competencies
• Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and compliance briefings

• A strong interest in developing a career in logistics or transport
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
• Good communication and teamwork abilities
• A proactive and reliable approach to work
• Basic understanding of health & safety and manual handling practices
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• The ability to work in a fast-paced, physically active environment
• Flexibility to adapt to different tasks and shift patterns
• Basic IT or scanning device knowledge is an advantage
• A commitment to maintaining a clean and safe working environment
