The role
As an Electrical Fitter, you'll carry out electrical maintenance activities
across a diverse range of estates equipment and infrastructure. No two days are
the same. You'll be involved in everything from routine maintenance and repairs
to more complex electrical tasks that may span several days or weeks. Working
alongside experienced engineering professionals, you'll play an integral role in
ensuring facilities remain safe, operational, and fit for purpose.
Day-to-day, you’ll be required to:
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance activities to support business
objectives and maximise equipment availability.
• Identifying, diagnosing and rectifying electrical system defects, equipment
faults and infrastructure issues.
• Repairing and maintaining electrical installations, including lighting
systems, sockets and associated equipment.
• Working in accordance with health and safety legislation, safe systems of
work and site procedures.
• Supporting continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance
processes, productivity and operational performance.
This role is full time, 36 hours per week, and is based on site at HM Naval Base
Clyde, Faslane.
Essential experience of the Electrical Fitter
• Working with electrical systems, equipment and maintenance activities within
an industrial, engineering, manufacturing, construction, defence, aviation,
marine or similar environment.
• Applying electrical regulations, standards and safe working practices.
• Conducting fault finding, maintenance and repair of electrical equipment and
infrastructure.
• Interpreting and completing maintenance documentation and records accurately.
• Working with COSHH requirements and health, safety and environmental
procedures.
Qualifications for the Electrical Fitter:
• SVQ Level 3 in Electrical Fitting or equivalent electrical qualification.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be a sole UK National who is able to achieve and
maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
