ABOUT THE POST
Lead Facilities Management Across a Diverse University Estate
London Metropolitan University is seeking an experienced Head of Facilities
Management to lead the delivery of professional, customer-focused facilities
services across its diverse estate.
This senior role is responsible for ensuring high-quality operational delivery
across hard and soft Facilities Management services, creating safe, welcoming
and efficient environments for students, staff and visitors.
Working closely with senior colleagues across the Estates Directorate, you will
lead operational teams, manage key supplier relationships and drive continuous
service improvement across the University's estate.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the University's Facilities Management function.
* Manage hard and soft FM services.
* Oversee cleaning and wider support services.
* Ensure statutory compliance and Health & Safety.
* Lead contract management and supplier performance.
* Manage operational budgets and financial performance.
* Deliver service improvements and operational efficiencies.
* Develop high-performing teams.
* Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
* Support wider Estates strategic objectives.
ABOUT YOU
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
* Significant Facilities Management leadership experience.
* Strong contract and supplier management capability.
* Excellent knowledge of compliance and Health & Safety legislation.
* Outstanding people leadership skills.
* Experience operating within large, complex organisations.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* A genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
