Job Description Anticipated Contract End Date/Length: May 7, 2027 Work Set Up: Remote (flexibility required for ad hoc travel) Clearance required: BPSS Our client in the Information Technology and Services industry is looking for a highly experienced S/4HANA – Coupa Integration Architect to lead the design and delivery of complex global integrations across procurement and finance systems. This role will focus on enabling seamless integration between Coupa and SAP S/4HANA environments, supporting indirect procurement processes across large-scale, global organizations. The position requires a hands-on technical expert with strong stakeholder engagement capabilities, able to operate in fast-paced, outcome-driven environments. What you will do: Lead the design and delivery of global integrations between Coupa and SAP S/4HANA from initial architecture through cutover and hypercare. Develop and manage APIs using REST, JSON, and OData, ensuring robust schema design, error handling, and performance optimization. Configure and support Coupa integrations including supplier onboarding, master data synchronization, approvals, tax, receiving, invoicing, and payment status updates. Design and implement SAP integration artefacts including IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, and ALE interfaces. Collaborate with stakeholders across business and IT to translate complex integration requirements into scalable technical solutions. Integrate procurement and finance processes across SAP S/4HANA modules including Procurement, MM, and FI-AP. Utilize integration platforms such as SAP Integration Suite, MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, or Azure Integration Services to build and monitor integrations. Ensure integration security through implementation of OAuth2, mTLS, certificates, and key management practices. Monitor integration performance using observability tools and dashboards, implementing alerting and traceability mechanisms. Implement CI and CD pipelines for integration deployments using version control and automation tools. Manage dependencies, environments, and delivery timelines across multiple integration workstreams. Support testing activities including interface validation and test automation where applicable. Work effectively within Agile environments, collaborating with upstream and downstream systems such as MDG and ServiceNow. Qualifications Proven experience delivering complex global integrations between Coupa and SAP S/4HANA within large organizations. Strong technical expertise in API engineering including REST, OData, OpenAPI or Swagger specifications, and Postman-based testing. Deep knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Procurement, MM, and FI-AP processes including vendors, purchase orders, goods receipts, invoices, and financial structures. Demonstrated experience with SAP integration artefacts including IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, and ALE. Solid understanding of Coupa configuration in the context of integrations including master data, suppliers, and transactional flows. Experience working with integration middleware platforms such as SAP Integration Suite, MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, or Azure Integration Services. Strong knowledge of integration security protocols and data protection practices. Experience implementing monitoring, observability, and alerting solutions for integrations. Familiarity with CI and CD practices, version control, and automated deployment processes. Proven ability to manage large-scale integration delivery across multiple workstreams and environments. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences. Experience working in Agile environments with cross-functional teams and third-party providers. Self-motivated, resilient, and capable of managing competing priorities while meeting deadlines.
