Your role will involve collaborating closely with members of the Commercial divisions, applying your analytical skills and business acumen to investigate root causes of issues, identify opportunities for optimisation, and measure the impact of change projects. By owning projects, developing relationships with stakeholders, and championing a collaborative approach to requirements gathering, you will deliver high-quality, accurate insights and recommendations through data storytelling, ultimately driving actionable business decisions and ensuring that the real truths within the data are effectively communicated and utilised.   Who you are As an Analyst within Sainsbury's Data & Analytics function, you are a highly numerate and analytical professional with a passion for deriving actionable insights and driving business change through data. With a background in mathematics, statistics, or relevant analytical experience, you possess strong SQL and Python skills essential for data analysis. Your ability to communicate complex information effectively, coupled with your inquisitive mindset and keen problem-solving skills, allows you to uncover opportunities for optimisation, deliver compelling data storytelling, and drive value for the organisation. You excel in building collaborative relationships with stakeholders, applying commercial acumen to understand business challenges, and proactively seeking continuous learning and development opportunities to enhance your analytical expertise and contribute to the wider analytics community.   Essential Criteria • Highly numerate / analytical background (degree in maths, stats, or similar, or strong analytical experience) • Strong technical skills — SQL and Python are essential • Proven ability to deliver actionable insights and drive business change • Excellent communication, problem‑solving, curiosity, attention to detail, and ability to partner effectively with the business   #DataAndAnalytics #Analytics #LI-CM1
