We are looking for an experienced Field Care Supervisor to take responsibility for the quality of care our CareGivers deliver. This is a newly created role, following continued growth in the service. Why join us ● Rated 9.9 out of 10 on homecare.co.uk by the families we support ● Top 20 Homecare Provider in the South East ● 5-Star Employer in 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2026, based on anonymous feedback from our own team What you will get ● £27,000 to £28,500 PA, depending on experience ● 37.5 hours a week over a rolling fortnight, with alternate weekends off and two weekdays off in the week you work the weekend ● 23 days paid holiday ● Company bonus scheme ● Mileage paid for every business mile at 35p per mile ● Award-winning training that is genuinely good, not a box-ticking exercise, with real support to complete your Level 5 if you want it ● Company laptop and mobile phone ● Career progression ● Free company uniform ● Company pension ● Blue Light Card, EAP health and wellbeing support, recognition prizes What you will be doing ● Supporting and mentoring our CareGivers day to day, so they feel backed rather than checked up on. ● Welcoming new CareGivers, introducing them to Clients, and signing them off through the Care Certificate. ● Writing and reviewing care plans and risk assessments that reflect the person, not a template. ● Visiting Clients regularly to see how things are going, and putting them right quickly when they are not. ● Delivering induction and refresher training to the team, including practical sessions such as moving and handling and medication, and identifying where someone needs more support. ● Carrying out competency checks, spot checks and supervisions, and acting on what they show. ● Stepping in to cover care calls when something unexpected happens, so a Client is never left waiting. ● Being the supervisory presence at weekends, on your rostered weekend to work. ● Keeping communication flowing between the care team and the office, so nothing gets lost between the two. ● Managing on-call telephone support on your rostered weekend to work. ● Working within CQC regulations, employment legislation and our own policies, while maintaining a Good rating and working towards Outstanding. What you will need ● At least two years working in homecare, in any role. If you have been a Senior Care Assistant, Care Coordinator, Care Team Leader, Care Scheduler or Field Care Supervisor, you already know most of this job. ● A willingness to train and assess others. ● A driving licence, your own car and business insurance. ● The right to work in the UK. ● Comfortable with Outlook and Teams, and using a care management system. ● The judgement to make a call on your own when something is not right.
