The Recipe ( About the Role) As a National Account Manager, you will drive commercial performance, profitable growth, and strategic customer partnerships across key retail accounts. With full profit and loss accountability, you will use customer insights, data-led planning, and cross-functional collaboration to grow category performance, strengthen brand presence, and deliver against ambitious business objectives in a fast-moving consumer goods environment. As the business continues to grow, you will play a key role in shaping customer growth strategies and delivering sustainable, long-term success. Own the profit and loss performance of designated accounts, delivering annual targets through effective forecasting, planning, pricing, and commercial decision-making. Drive sustainable growth by analysing performance, identifying opportunities, and implementing plans that increase profitability, customer value, and category performance. Lead customer negotiations and pricing activity, including branded and own-brand cost price increases, ensuring alignment with commercial objectives and business strategy. Build and deliver customer-focused Joint Business Plans that create shared value, strengthen long-term partnerships, and support sustainable growth. Manage the end-to-end commercial account plan, including promotional activity, seasonal campaigns, demand forecasting, supply alignment, profit and loss reviews, and performance tracking. Oversee the financial health of accounts by managing invoicing, deductions, dispute resolution, reconciliations, and debt reduction in partnership with Finance and Accounts Payable teams. Deliver customer projects, initiatives, and promotional plans to a high standard, ensuring excellent execution both in-store and online through Perfect Shop and Perfect E-shop principles. Act as the key contact for customer accounts, collaborating with Category, Supply Chain, Brand, Finance, Field Sales, and Activation teams to achieve shared goals and deliver exceptional customer outcomes. Use data, insights, and digital tools to evaluate performance, improve forecasting accuracy, identify new opportunities, and continuously enhance commercial effectiveness. Resolve customer challenges collaboratively, balancing customer needs with commercial priorities while maintaining strong working relationships. Share knowledge, support colleagues, and contribute to a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and commercial excellence. The Ingredients (What we need from you) Key Know How: Proven success managing accounts in FMCG. Understanding of P&L management, promotional planning, and demand forecasting. Skilled negotiator with experience in developing and delivering JBPs. Ability to interpret commercial and shopper data to drive decisions. Experience working cross-functionally in fast-paced, matrix organisations. Digital and e-commerce commercial awareness. Leading virtual and cross-functional commercial squads. (Desirable) Capability to shape 3–5 year customer strategies linking category growth, brand building, and omni-channel execution.
