WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
• Prepare Financial Reporting including financial statements and other reports
for review by Controller and/or Management
• Maintenance & reconciliation of SAGE 300 general ledger & reporting templates
• Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, risk analysis, and ad hoc
reports as required
• Month end reporting and year-end completion including auditing
responsibilities
• Prepare monthly working paper and update continuity schedules
• Will be part of Special Projects and process improvements
• Assist Accounts Payable clerk regarding vendor setup and maintenance
• Support Accounts Receivable Billing clerks with policyholder payments & AR
reconciliation
• Other duties as required
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Have a Canadian CPA designation and at least 3 years of progressive
experience
• Knowledge and experience with IFRS 17 at a P&C insurance company
• Ability to prepare and analyze financial reports
• Experience with general ledger setup, account maintenance and posting journal
entries
• Understanding of accounts payable/receivable processes & controls
• Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, and audit request
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills (written and verbal)
• Experience with ACCPAC and/or SAGE would be an asset Willingness to learn and
take on new tasks
