The InPost Newstrade division specialises in final-mile delivery for newspaper publishers and magazine distributors, covering 75% of the UK and Ireland with a 45% market share. Operating from 36 locations, it delivers almost 1bn newspapers, magazines, and collectibles to around 21,000 customers. The division includes core final-mile operations, magazine primary distribution, corporate distribution, outsourced retail consultancy, and airside media placement. About the role: Join our fast-paced returns operation and play a key role in keeping our distribution network running smoothly. We are looking for motivated and reliable Returns Warehouse Operatives to join our dynamic newspaper and magazine distribution operation. As a Returns Warehouse Operative, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently processing returned newspapers and magazines, helping to maintain high standards of productivity, accuracy, and service. Working as part of a busy team, you will play an important role in ensuring returns are handled correctly and efficiently, supporting the smooth running of our distribution operation. Every shift is important, and your hard work and attention to detail will help us deliver the best possible service to our customers and partners. 📍 Location: Unit C Larkfield Industrial Estate, New Hythe Lane, Aylesford, ME20 6SW 📅 Shift Pattern: Tuesday • Saturday 🕒 Hours: Tuesday 08:00am - 15:30pm / Wednesday 08:00am - 16:00pm / Thursday 08:00am - 16:30pm / Friday 08:00am - 16:00pm / Saturday 08:00am - 17:00pm 💰 Salary: £25,445.42 per annum What you’ll be doing: Accurately receive, sort, and process returned newspapers and magazines. Ensure all returned products are handled correctly and processed within the required deadlines. Sort, organise, and prepare returned newspapers and magazines in line with operational requirements. Maintain high levels of accuracy when processing returns and handling stock. Work as part of a busy team to ensure the returns operation runs efficiently and effectively. Follow all processes and procedures to maintain consistent productivity and quality standards. Identify and report any issues, discrepancies, or damaged products to the relevant team member. Maintain high standards of health, safety, cleanliness, and housekeeping throughout the returns area. Support colleagues across the warehouse when required to help achieve operational targets. Respond positively to changing priorities and operational demands in a fast-paced working environment. What we need from you: A valid Right to Work in the UK. Ability to work effectively as part of a team, supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive working environment. A flexible and adaptable approach, with a willingness to take on different tasks and responsibilities as business needs change. Confidence working in a fast-paced warehouse environment, maintaining a high level of accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail. A reliable and hardworking attitude, with good timekeeping and a strong work ethic. Willingness and ability to carry out physical duties, including lifting, moving, sorting, and handling returned newspapers and magazines safely. Good organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and ensure returns are processed accurately and within required deadlines. A proactive approach to identifying and reporting operational issues, with a focus on maintaining high standards of quality and service.
