As an Invoice Variance Controller, you’ll join our Finance team, supporting nearly 1,700 Greene King pubs by investigating invoice variances and ensuring our purchase invoices accurately align with stock delivered to our pubs.
You’ll play an important role in identifying and resolving discrepancies, working with General Managers, suppliers and teams across the business to understand the root cause of issues and help prevent them from happening again.

Job Description
What you’ll be doing
Investigate and resolve invoice matching variances within agreed service levels.
Provide excellent support to General Managers, helping with credits, stock adjustments, delivery and stock queries.
Manage customer queries through our Pub Query System, ensuring issues are resolved in a timely and professional way.
Challenge variances and investigate the root cause, identifying where processes have failed and recommending improvements.
Work closely with teams across Finance, Purchasing, IT and our external suppliers to resolve queries and improve processes.
Complete day-to-day reporting and support with ad hoc requests when required.
Qualifications
What you’ll bring
A strong problem-solving mindset and a desire to understand the root cause of issues.
Excellent attention to detail and confidence working with data.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
The ability to build positive relationships with colleagues, suppliers and stakeholders.
A collaborative, team-focused approach.
The ability to manage deadlines and performance targets.
Some experience using IT systems such as Excel and Outlook.
The ability to analyse information and present findings clearly and concisely.
Don't have all the experience? That's okay. Intermediate Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs, are desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
