Are you passionate about driving meaningful change while ensuring strong
governance and risk management practices? We're looking for a Transformation &
Governance Consultant to play a pivotal role in supporting transformation
initiatives, governance activities and risk management across the function.
In this varied and influential role, you'll provide consultancy, analysis and
governance expertise, helping to shape frameworks, support critical
decision-making and ensure robust controls are in place. Working closely with
senior leaders and executive stakeholders, you'll contribute to the successful
delivery of strategic objectives while helping to strengthen organisational
governance and risk culture.
This is a 12-month secondment opportunity.

RESPONSIBILITIES
What you’ll be doing
As a Transformation & Governance Consultant, you'll be responsible for
delivering high-quality governance and project support across a range of
transformation activities. You'll help design, implement and continuously
improve governance frameworks, controls, assessment tools and processes,
ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and organisational standards.
Working with senior stakeholders and executive teams, you'll provide analysis,
reporting, risk oversight and support for key governance forums, helping to
identify emerging risks and drive effective mitigation plans.
You'll maintain project plans, reports and risk logs, coordinate meetings and
workshops, and track key decisions and actions to ensure successful delivery of
initiatives. Acting as a governance subject matter expert, you'll provide
guidance, share best practice and support the implementation of lessons learned
across the function. You'll also contribute to improving risk culture, support
conduct risk assessments, horizon scanning activities and policy assurance
programmes, while managing committee and forum administration, including
agendas, packs, minutes, actions and effectiveness reviews. Through strong
relationship management and stakeholder engagement, you'll help ensure
governance standards are embedded consistently and effectively across the
organisation. This role will include the delivery of property change activity,
so having the ability to support with change will be vital.
About you
As a minimum
you will have experience in:
• Strong understanding of governance, risk and control management principles
and methodologies.
• Experience supporting or consulting on governance, risk management or control
frameworks.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify
trends, establish root causes and solve complex problems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills alongside strong written and verbal
communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently, show initiative and manage competing
priorities effectively.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the confidence to challenge and
influence at all levels.
• Knowledge of the financial services sector and relevant regulatory and
legislative requirements.
• Ability to build relationships and network effectively across a complex
organisation.
• Excellent listening skills with the ability to capture, consolidate and
communicate complex information clearly.
• Experience supporting governance committees, forums, projects or
transformation initiatives would be advantageous.
